I was worried percale would feel stiff, but these have a nice crispness that softens after a wash. The matte finish looks relaxed on the bed instead of shiny, and they stay cool through the night.
The washed cotton is genuinely soft right out of the package, no scratchy stiffness that usually needs a few washes to break in. They stay cool through the night thanks to how breathable the percale weave is, and the relaxed matte look fits my bedding perfectly.
These are the first percale pillowcases I've owned that don't feel stiff right out of the package, thanks to the pre-washing. The cotton breathes so well that I stopped waking up with a sweaty face, and the matte finish looks nice and unfussy on the bed.
