I was worried brushed cotton would feel heavy, but this sheet breathes really well even on warmer nights. The red is deeper than the photos suggest, which I actually prefer, and it's softened up after two washes.
The stripe pattern in this red is richer than the photos suggest, and it keeps me warm without making me kick the covers off at 2 a.m. It's my favorite layer to sleep on now.
