My previous pillow always flattened into a hard lump by morning, but the carded merino wool in this one keeps its loft all night. It cradles my head without that suffocating squish, and the wool stays cool even in summer.
I run hot when I sleep and this carded merino filling actually keeps me from waking up sweaty, which my old polyester pillow never did. It has a nice weight to it too, kind of molds around my head instead of fighting back.
The wool filling is soft and breathable, and it stays cool through the night, which I appreciate. But it's not as lofty as my old down pillow, so I wake up a bit flat by morning. Fine for the price, just not the cloud-like feel I was hoping for.
